Our Concept
In cycling, a “breakaway” is when a rider pulls ahead of the pack, carving out their own path with grit and momentum. For us, the name also speaks to taking a pause—stepping away from the rush of the day to recharge, refuel, and connect.
Break Away Café is built around both ideas: we’re breaking away in terms of quality, with coffee, food, and pastries that are crafted to be bold and fresh. Just as importantly, we’re creating a space that belongs to the neighborhood. Whether you roll on two wheels or wander in on foot, you’ll find a welcoming spot to grab a cup, enjoy something delicious, talk bikes, meet a friend, or simply take a moment for yourself.
More than a café, we see ourselves as part of the ride, part of the block, and part of the community—always moving forward, but never too busy to stop and share the moment.
Coffee
Coffee has always been part of the ride—whether it’s the ritual before you clip in, a mid-ride stop, or that cup waiting after the miles are done. We wanted a coffee that could match that rhythm, so we partnered with a roaster in New Jersey to create something truly our own.
The result is bold in flavor but never overwhelming—rich and smooth enough to be your go-to, no matter how you take it. Drink it black for a clean, steady kick, or add milk and sugar for a balanced, comforting cup. However you enjoy it, this blend was built for endurance, camaraderie, and to Break Away.
